Post-It Note Art Exhibit
The Post-It Note Art exhibit is open to residents of Parkside. The basic requirement of the artwork is that it must be done on a post-it note. Any brand of post-it may be used. Any color post-it may be used. Any type of application method/medium may be used to create your art.
Please include your first and last name on your art as well as your age & theme.
One post-it note per art piece. If the artist would like to create and display a collage, please speak with the Lifestyle Director.
Art will be displayed and grouped by theme and age. There are 4 themed categories and 2 age groups.
Two Age Groups:
* 12 and under
* 13 and up
* Fun & Games
* The Edge
* Beauty & Beast
Art will be on display in the community center from November 8th through the close of business November 22nd. Your art must be picked up no later than November 24th. Art that is not picked up by the deadline will be discarded.
November 6: 6 - 7 pm
November 15: 10 - 11 am
You may choose to attend one of these to work on your art.
Please register so we have enough supplies. You don’t need to attend these dates to participate. You can make your artwork at home and bring to the Center for the Exhibit.
Texas Hold 'Em - Tuesdays at 6 pm. Register by the Sunday before. Drop ins permitted. No fee to register. $10 buy in.
- Bingo - Thursday, November 13 from 6 - 8 pm. 3 cards for $9. Bring a snack and win some cash prizes! Register by November 11! After 11/11, cost is $14 pp.
- Afternoon Games 1 to 3 pm - Mexican Train 1st & 3rd Friday; Bridge 2nd & 4th Monday; Bunco 1st & 3rd Tuesday; Dominoes 1st & 3rd Wednesday; Hand & Foot 2nd & 4th Thursday. FREE!
Wine & Dine - Join us Friday, November 21 for a potluck and Sock Hop Dance! Theme is "Fifties Fare"! Doors will open at 5 pm and dinner at 5:30 pm, followed by a Sock Hop Dance. Last names beginning with O-R should bring a dessert to share. All others bring a main dish or side dish. We provide plates, bowls, flatware, napkins, disposable wine and water glasses, ice water, tablecloths and power surge protectors for crock pots. There will be a table lottery at 6 pm to determine which table will be served first. Please refrain from eating until after your table is called. Please register by November 20!
- Monthly Casino Bus Trip - 2nd Monday of each month. Bus departs at 9 am from Community Center. Ages 21+. REGISTER! $5 cash deposit to hold your spot.
