Del Webb Goes Pink - October 9, 2010 at 8 am

This year marks the 3rd Annual Del Webb Goes Pink event! Open to the public, registrants receive a t-shirt and can choose to participate in a 3-mile or 1-mile walk/run to raise funds for breast cancer research. Walk begins at the Sun City Anthem Union Center and walks on the cart paths of the Poston Butte Golf Course. VIEW the event flier! REGISTER online now!

FITT for Life Expo - November 13, 2010 from 11 am - 4 pm

This event is open to the public and is a health and wellness lifestyle event at the Sun City Anthem Union Center parking lot and outdoor area. Event includes health screenings, blood drive, mammograms (by app't), vendors and exhibitors, beer garden, food, FITT Kids Playground and much more! 2010 Holiday Schedule for Garbage Pickup

The Town of Florence has announced the 2010 Holiday schedule for garbage pickup. Throughout the year, the holidays can affect the day that your garbage is picked up by the Public Works Department. The list below shows the dates that garbage service is not provided and the alternate date that you can expect garbage service. This info is also posted on the Town of Florence website (www.florenceaz.gov) for your convenience.

2010 New Year's Day. On Friday, January 1st, there is no residential garbage service. Friday's route is picked up on Saturday, January 2nd.

Martin Luther King Day. On Monday, January 18th, there is no residential garbage service. Monday's and Tuesday's routes are picked up on Tuesday, January 19th.

President's Day. On Monday, February 15th, there is no residential garbage service. Monday's and Tuesday's routes are picked up on Tuesday, February 16th.

Memorial Day. On Monday, May 31st, there is no residential garbage service. Monday's and Tuesday's routes are picked up on Tuesday, June 1st.

Fourth of July.

No Garbage Pick-Up on Monday, July 5th

Due to the Independence Day holiday, there are changes to the Town’s garbage pick-up schedule. On Monday, July 5th, there is no residential garbage service. Monday’s and Tuesday’s routes are picked up on Tuesday, July 6th. The route schedule for the rest of the week is unaffected.

Information about garbage services provided by the Town, including the 2010 Garbage Holiday Schedule, is available online at www.florenceaz.gov/garbage.

Labor Day. On Monday, September 6th, there is no residential garbage service. Monday's and Tuesday's routes are picked up on Tuesday, September 7th.

Columbus Day. On Monday, October 11, there is no residential garbage service. Monday's and Tuesday's routes are picked up on Tuesday, October 12th.

Veteran's Day. On Thursday, November 11th, there is no residential garbage service. Thursday's and Friday's routes are picked up on Friday, November 12th.

Thanksgiving Day. On Thursday, November 25th, there is no residential garbage service. Thursday's and Friday's routes are picked up on Friday, November 26th.

Christmas Day. Christmas Day is on a Saturday. The pickup schedule is not affected.

2011 New Year's Day. New Year's Day is on a Saturday. The pickup schedule is not affected.
