Bunco - 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 1 pm in the Parkside Cafe. $5 buy in with a chance to win $50!
Casino Trip - 2nd Monday of every month. $5 cash refundable deposit required. 21+ only. Bus departs the Parkside Community Center at 9 am and returns about 4:45 pm.
Wine & Dine - Join us February 24th. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Ages 21+. Free.Italian theme this month. Last names beginning with A-B should bring a dessert to share. All others bring a main dish and side dish to serve 6.

My name is Claire Varney and I have the privilege of serving as your Executive Director here at Anthem at Merrill Ranch. I have been in the club business for over thirteen years and have been a club manager for ten of those years. I recently managed Conestoga Golf Club at Sun City Mesquite in Mesquite, Nevada. My previous positions include General Manager at Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club in St. George, Utah, as well as Assistant General Manager at Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona and Anthem Country Club in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I am not a native of Arizona, but consider it home. I moved out west from Michigan in 1994 and never looked back. I am so impressed with Anthem at Merrill Ranch and look forward to building our programs and services with you as the community continues to grow.

Our community is very new and with that come the growing pains of establishing our “personality” and becoming what we will eventually be. Like being a teenager all over again! We have a very diverse group of residents here at Anthem at Merrill Ranch and we will do our best to support the social and athletic programs and activities that you request. It’s always a work in progress as we experiment and find what is successful and what doesn’t really work well for our community. As always, your input and ideas are welcome and encouraged, so please utilize the portal and your neighborhood representatives to communicate with us.

Some of you will be leaving for cooler climates soon. I wish you safe travels and look forward to seeing you when you return in the fall. For you full-timers, I will see you at the summer pool parties and evening events, or you can find me in the air conditioned Sun City Union Center during the day.
